Terms and Conditions

Unless the context indicates otherwise:

• Words importing the singular include the plural and vice versa.
• References to any gender include all genders.
• The terms "include," "including," "such as," or similar expressions are illustrative and not limiting.

• "ZOR," "we," "us," "our" – Refers to ZOR Services Pvt. Ltd., a company registered in Pakistan, which operates and owns the ZOR Platform and offers technology services to connect legal professionals with users.
• "User" – Any person, individual, or entity that accesses or uses the Platform to search, consult, book, rate, or interact with a legal professional.
• "Lawyer" or "Legal Professional" – Any person listed on the ZOR Platform who offers legal services, including but not limited to, consultation, litigation, document drafting, or representation in legal proceedings.
• "Platform" – All digital properties owned and operated by ZOR, including but not limited to websites, mobile applications, APIs, and backend software systems.
• "Content" – All materials posted or made available on the Platform, including user profiles, Lawyer profiles, ratings, reviews, legal topics, blog entries, video/audio content, graphics, documents, and communications.
• "Services" – Any activity facilitated via the Platform, including but not limited to legal matchmaking, scheduling, video consultations, and feedback mechanisms.

Section and paragraph headings are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of any provision herein.

By downloading, accessing, browsing, registering, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Use, along with all incorporated policies such as the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and any additional agreements presented within the Platform.

If you use the Platform on behalf of another person (such as a minor, a relative, or an organization), you represent and warrant that you have legal authority to bind that person or entity to these Terms. If you do not have such authority, you must not use the Platform on their behalf.

ZOR reserves the right to revise, update, or replace these Terms at any time at its sole discretion. Changes may be posted directly on the Platform or notified via email or in-app notifications. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. You are encouraged to check this section periodically.

These Terms shall have the same legal effect as an agreement signed in writing. If you do not agree with any part of the Terms, you must refrain from using the Platform immediately.

To register and use the ZOR Platform as a Lawyer, you must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to practice law in Pakistan or the applicable jurisdiction.

You represent and warrant that you:

• Are not disbarred, suspended, or subject to any pending ethical or disciplinary action;
• Are not prohibited from practicing or offering legal services online under applicable law;
• Have not been previously removed or blacklisted from the ZOR Platform for misconduct or violation of these Terms.

To be listed as a Lawyer on the Platform, you must:

• Hold a valid bar license from a recognized Bar Council in Pakistan;
• Submit all required verification documents;
• Maintain updated credentials on your ZOR profile.

ZOR reserves the right to verify, suspend, or delist any Lawyer account at its sole discretion.

ZOR operates as a neutral technology platform facilitating connections between Lawyers and Users seeking legal services. ZOR does not:

• Provide legal advice or representation;
• Act as an employer, principal, or agent of any Lawyer.

By using the Platform, Lawyers can:

• Publish and manage their legal profile;
• Offer booking slots for consultations;
• Communicate with potential clients;
• Receive service requests and manage case leads.

ZOR does not guarantee:

• That Users will hire you;
• The legal merit of a User's case;
• The resolution or payment behavior of any client.

Lawyers act as independent professionals and are solely responsible for:

• The quality of legal services rendered;
• Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional codes;
• Their professional insurance and legal liabilities.

ZOR reserves the right to request updated credentials and reject or suspend accounts not meeting platform integrity standards.

ZOR enables Users to rate and comment on your legal services. You expressly acknowledge that:

• Ratings and reviews are public and may influence your visibility;
• ZOR reserves the right—but not the obligation—to moderate, censor, edit, or remove reviews at its sole discretion;
• You agree that negative ratings and reviews will remain on your profile, even if you leave the Platform;
• You waive all legal claims against ZOR related to such content unless a Pakistani court declares a review defamatory.

All Lawyers using the Platform agree and acknowledge that they are solely responsible for complying with all applicable tax and regulatory obligations under Pakistani law or the relevant jurisdiction in which they practice. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Filing and paying income tax, sales tax, and professional tax;
• Registering with and reporting to relevant tax authorities, including the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR);
• Maintaining valid licenses, permits, and certifications required for legal practice.

ZOR disclaims any and all responsibility for a Lawyer's non-compliance with such obligations. ZOR does not collect, withhold, remit, or report taxes on behalf of Lawyers.

Failure by a Lawyer to comply with tax or regulatory requirements may result in disciplinary action by ZOR, including suspension or termination of their listing on the Platform.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ZOR, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, demands, liabilities, damages, or losses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your legal services, representation, or professional advice;
• Any breach of these Terms;
• Misuse of the Platform;
• Any negligent or unlawful act or omission on your part.

You are solely responsible for maintaining any necessary professional indemnity or liability insurance required under Pakistani law or your Bar Council's code of conduct. ZOR is not liable for any malpractice, negligence, or omission occurring in the absence of such coverage.

As a Lawyer listed on the ZOR Platform, you acknowledge that no lawyer-client relationship exists between you and ZOR. ZOR does not practice law, offer legal services, or represent any party in legal proceedings.

You operate as an independent legal professional. Any engagement or communication with a User is made in your personal and professional capacity, without ZOR acting as an intermediary beyond technological facilitation.

You are solely responsible for verifying the legal needs of the User, determining the scope of services, executing relevant engagement agreements (if applicable), and adhering to all legal, ethical, and professional obligations as per your bar council regulations.

ZOR is a neutral platform that connects Users with independent legal professionals. All Lawyers listed on the ZOR platform operate as independent practitioners and are not employees, agents, or representatives of ZOR.

ZOR disclaims all liability for any acts, omissions, misconduct, or negligence by any Lawyer, including but not limited to:

• Harassment (verbal, physical, sexual, or digital);
• Threats, abuse, or intimidation;
• Violence or inappropriate physical conduct;
• Breach of legal or ethical duties;
• Malpractice or mismanagement of legal matters;
• Unauthorized sharing or misuse of confidential information;
• Failure to attend hearings or provide representation after confirmation.

ZOR also disclaims all liability for any misconduct, threats, abuse, harassment, or unlawful behavior committed by Users against Lawyers, whether during consultation, communication, or follow-up. Lawyers are advised to report such incidents directly to law enforcement, bar councils, or other regulatory authorities.

ZOR does not mediate disputes between clients and Lawyers. However, ZOR reserves the right to take internal action, including but not limited to account suspension, access restriction, or permanent blacklisting of any User or Lawyer, if credible misconduct is reported or verified.

In cases of dispute where the User claims that no consultation occurred, and you confirm that it did, ZOR reserves the right to conduct an internal investigation based on available logs, recordings (if any), messages, and timestamps. ZOR's final determination shall guide any refund resolution or further action.

Any malpractice, unethical conduct, misrepresentation of credentials, abuse of the Platform, or harassment of Users by a Lawyer may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:

• Suspension or blacklisting of your profile.
• Reporting to bar councils or legal authorities.
• Permanent removal from the ZOR Platform.

You acknowledge and agree not to hold ZOR liable for:

• Client dissatisfaction or disputes;
• Lack of payment if outside ZOR's transaction mechanisms;
• Defamatory reviews or ratings by Users (subject to moderation guidelines);
• Legal or ethical complaints made against you by Users.

Any communication between you and ZOR's support or administrative staff is not protected under legal professional privilege. Confidential client information must not be disclosed to ZOR unless required by law or explicitly authorized by the client.

You agree not to solicit or accept payments, consultation requests, or legal work outside the ZOR Platform for any leads or bookings initiated via the Platform. Engaging in off-platform transactions undermines platform integrity and may result in immediate termination, blacklisting, or legal action.

You shall not attempt to circumvent ZOR's processes or fee structures by directly engaging or negotiating with Users outside the Platform. Any attempts to move clients off the Platform for fee avoidance will be considered a material breach.

To be listed and offer legal services via the ZOR Platform, you must register by submitting accurate and up-to-date information including your full name, CNIC, contact details, bar council registration/license number, area of legal practice, and supporting documents. You agree to provide true, complete, and verifiable documentation during onboarding and throughout your use of the Platform.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of your ZOR account credentials. Sharing, delegating, or transferring access to any third party is strictly prohibited. Unauthorized usage or access must be reported to ZOR immediately to avoid liability.

ZOR implements reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect Lawyer data and account integrity. However, you acknowledge that no system can be guaranteed fully secure, and you accept the risks associated with platform-based services.

ZOR reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your Lawyer account without prior notice in cases including, but not limited to:

• Provision of false credentials or misrepresentation,
• Verified misconduct or breach of these Terms,
• Repeated user complaints or no-shows,
• Violation of legal or regulatory obligations.

You may request deactivation or permanent deletion of your account by contacting support@zorservices.co. However, ZOR reserves the right to retain essential information for audit, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or tax reporting purposes in line with applicable laws.

Your Lawyer Dashboard and account credentials are strictly personal and confidential. You must not permit any third party—including junior associates, clerks, interns, or administrative staff—to access, manage, or operate your ZOR Lawyer Dashboard on your behalf. All activity under your account will be deemed to be undertaken by you personally, and you shall be fully liable for any misuse or unauthorized actions carried out under your account credentials. Any breach of this exclusivity clause may result in immediate suspension or permanent deactivation of your profile without notice.

ZOR reserves the right to suspend or permanently deactivate your account in the following situations:

• Violation of these Terms;
• Receipt of serious complaints or multiple unresolved disputes;
• Verified misconduct or unethical behavior;
• Platform circumvention attempts;
• Breach of professional obligations or local regulations.

As a Lawyer, you are entitled to receive payments for successfully completed consultations or legal services. Payments collected by ZOR on your behalf shall be settled to your registered bank account or wallet in accordance with the payout cycle mentioned on the Platform.

ZOR uses PCI-compliant third-party payment gateways. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying applicable income tax, professional tax, or GST under Pakistani laws. ZOR will not deduct or withhold any such taxes unless required by law.

Refunds may be issued to Users in the following situations:

• The Lawyer fails to attend or cancels the confirmed appointment;
• A technical or system error disrupts the consultation;
• Duplicate or unauthorized payments.

Refunds are not issued for:

• Completed consultations (regardless of client satisfaction);
• No-shows by the User;
• Repeated rescheduling beyond two allowed changes.

In disputes where the User claims the consultation did not occur and the Lawyer confirms it did, ZOR will investigate based on system logs, communications, and appointment data. ZOR's findings shall be final for refund resolution.

If a Lawyer views a User's contact information, a lead charge applies. If the User does not show up after making payment with clear intent to miss the appointment, the User will receive a refund and the Lawyer will still be charged the lead fee. ZOR may restrict such Users in case of repeated abuse.

By registering on ZOR, you grant permission for your profile, name, photo, and area of practice to be used in ZOR's internal and external marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and client acquisition efforts. You may opt out by written request, but ZOR is not liable for prior use already disseminated.

You may cancel a scheduled consultation via the Platform. However, frequent cancellations may negatively affect your visibility and credibility on ZOR. You are advised to cancel only when absolutely necessary and as early as possible.

Users may cancel appointments through the Platform. If a User cancels at least one (1) hour before the scheduled appointment, they may receive a refund (excluding payment processing fees). Cancellations within one hour of the appointment time will not be eligible for a refund.

If a User does not attend a scheduled appointment without prior cancellation, the consultation will be marked as completed, and you will be eligible for your standard payout. However, ZOR reserves the right to refund in exceptional circumstances or in cases of proven system error or fraud.

Users may reschedule a confirmed appointment up to two (2) times. A third rescheduling attempt will be denied, and no refund will be issued. This policy ensures Lawyers' time is respected and schedules are not unfairly disrupted.

If you, as a Lawyer, incur a lead cost by viewing a User's contact and the User deliberately fails to attend the meeting after pre-payment, ZOR will:

• Issue a refund to the User (if appropriate), and
• Still charge the lead to the Lawyer (as the opportunity to engage was unlocked).

You must not:

• Harass or threaten Users;
• Provide fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful advice;
• Misuse User data or breach confidentiality;
• Fail to deliver services after acceptance or confirmation;
• Engage in any unlawful conduct under PECA 2016 or Pakistan Penal Code.

Lawyers may not:

• Impersonate other professionals or use false credentials;
• Manipulate ratings/reviews;
• Circumvent booking mechanisms to solicit off-platform payments;
• Use bots, scrapers, or unauthorized software to exploit the Platform.

Violation of this Clause may result in:

• Immediate account suspension or permanent deactivation;
• Removal from search listings or visibility;
• Legal action or reporting to the Bar Council or law enforcement agencies.

All platform content, trademarks, source code, and media are owned by or licensed to ZOR. Unauthorized copying, use, or modification is strictly prohibited.

You grant ZOR a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your public profile, image, expertise tags, and content submitted (such as blogs or videos) for promotional, editorial, and operational purposes on the Platform.

ZOR is a neutral technology intermediary. You acknowledge that Platform use is at your own risk and ZOR shall not be held liable for service disruptions, system outages, or third-party content errors.

ZOR disclaims liability for any misconduct, threats, abuse, or harassment committed by Users toward Lawyers. In such cases, you are encouraged to report incidents to relevant authorities or request ZOR to restrict the User's access.

To the extent permitted by law, ZOR's maximum liability for any claim under this Agreement shall not exceed the commission or fee charged for the relevant transaction.

You acknowledge that ZOR is a technology intermediary and does not offer legal advice, counsel, or representation. All legal services are provided by you as an independent legal professional. ZOR is not responsible for the content, quality, or accuracy of any advice or service provided through the Platform.

Any legal blogs, educational articles, or informational content made available on the Platform are for general awareness and do not constitute legal advice. Lawyers are not obligated to rely on such content and are advised to exercise professional judgment in all matters.

Your listing on the Platform does not constitute an endorsement by ZOR. Ratings and reviews are User-generated content, and ZOR assumes no responsibility for their accuracy, fairness, or effect on your professional reputation.

ZOR does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of Platform data, including Lawyer availability, User identity, or booking confirmations. You are advised to verify all relevant information directly with the User when appropriate.

While ZOR employs reasonable measures to maintain Platform stability, you acknowledge that outages, bugs, or delays may occur. You are responsible for ensuring your own internet connectivity and device security.

You may deactivate your Lawyer profile on ZOR at any time by submitting a written request via email to support@zorservices.co. Upon deactivation, your profile will be removed from public listing, and all pending appointments will be cancelled. Any funds due will be settled in accordance with Clause 8.

ZOR reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently disable your account without prior notice if you:

• Violate these Terms and Conditions;
• Engage in fraud, harassment, or unprofessional behavior;
• Fail to comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations;
• Receive multiple complaints or verified reports of misconduct.

Termination does not relieve you of responsibilities accrued before the date of deactivation, including:

• Payment of Platform fees or refunds;
• Response to complaints or arbitration;
• Participation in investigations if any misconduct is reported.

ZOR may retain your account and transaction information for a reasonable period to fulfill legal obligations, prevent fraud, or support internal audits.

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Any legal dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Lahore, Pakistan.

All disputes, claims, or disagreements arising between ZOR and you shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration Act, 1940 (or its amended versions).

• Arbitration proceedings will take place in Lahore, Pakistan.
• The language of arbitration shall be English.
• A sole arbitrator will be appointed by mutual agreement or through judicial intervention if necessary.

The arbitrator's award will be final and binding on both parties and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction.

ZOR reserves the right to seek immediate injunctive relief in court for:

• Unauthorized access to Platform systems;
• Misuse of confidential information;
• Intellectual property infringement.

By registering on the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your personal and professional information, including but not limited to your name, CNIC, bar license, practice areas, consultation records, communication logs, and ratings provided by clients.

ZOR will implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, misuse, or loss. However, you acknowledge that absolute security cannot be guaranteed in any digital platform.

Your information may be disclosed in the following cases:

• To Users who book consultations with you (profile visibility, communication history);
• To payment processors for fee disbursals;
• To legal and regulatory authorities as required by law;
• To service providers engaged by ZOR for analytics, performance enhancement, or operational support under confidentiality obligations.

You may request access to or correction of your data stored on the Platform by contacting support@zorservices.co. Requests will be handled in accordance with applicable law and ZOR's internal data governance protocols.

ZOR may use cookies, beacons, and similar technologies to monitor session behavior, traffic flow, and device interactions for system optimization and security purposes.

ZOR may use anonymized and aggregated data from Lawyer and User activity to generate insights for commercial purposes, including marketing and platform improvements. Personally identifiable information (PII) will never be sold or shared without explicit consent.

ZOR may, from time to time, modify features, UI/UX design, appointment logic, fee structures, or support workflows to improve platform functionality. You will be notified of major updates via email or in-app notifications.

These Terms may be amended at ZOR's discretion. Any modifications will become effective upon publication on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated Terms.

As a participating Lawyer, you agree to regularly review the Terms and associated policies. You waive any defense based on lack of awareness if you continue to use the Platform after updates are made.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any supplementary guidelines issued by ZOR, constitute the entire agreement between you and ZOR regarding your use of the Platform in a professional capacity.

You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without ZOR's prior written consent. ZOR may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to reflect the parties' intention, and all remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

ZOR's failure to enforce any part of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of its rights under that provision.

ZOR shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to war, terrorism, pandemics, government restrictions, or cyberattacks.

You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of Pakistan, including PECA 2016, tax regulations, and relevant Bar Council ethics and licensing rules, in the execution of legal services and use of the Platform.
